There’s no better time to romanticize your life. And by romanticizing your life we ââmean putting on a cute sundress and heels, scrolling to Bloomingdale’s to pick up the latest fashion finds, and walking out of the store with your chin up and a little brown bag in your hand.
Or, you can follow our buying tips for shopping online. We spoke to Bloomingdale’s fashion director for accessories and beauty, Marissa Galante Frank, who spilled the tea on her favorite trending items to shop in late summer and early fall.
âI have worked with the product from the market launch phase until our customer sees it in our stores and online,â Frank told The Post, with seven years of internal experience under his belt. âThe process begins with trend forecasting, where my team and I outline key stories and our vision for the coming season, and ultimately these trends influence what we buy and how we present our merchandise in our marketing channels. . I also work in partnership with merchants to identify the incredible brands that are part of our assortment and special products within pop-up stores, in addition to facilitating exclusive collaborations with designers that excite our customers.
Whether you are looking for your next pair of dress shoes for an upcoming wedding or a quality blazer to get back to work, Bloomingdale’s has an endless array of chic and classic styles.
âWhen in doubt, I always rely on classic styles,â she added. âTrends are fun and something that I definitely incorporate into my style, but when I dress for major events or something that I will come back to through photos, I want to feel timeless.â
For late summer and early fall, Frank recommends “invest in a new bag you’ll wear often” or buy “an amazing pair of closed-toe flats.” Coming up, find her top 30 picks.
These aren’t just the ones we pulled off the bestseller list. These are Bloomingdale-approved and researched pieces that you’ll want to steal before they’re gone.
